Weekend Jam..

Attended Yuriz (ex-By'U') b'day party and at the same time commemorating the release of his 1st 'single' since going solo.. entitled 'Weekend Jam', which featured DJ Const of Traxx FM. Location... Laundry, The Curve Damansara. Among others notable 'gila gila frenz' that night was Petronella(u rawk babe..), Adam(ex-By'U') and DJ Const (r u okay bro..? Ok bah kalau kau!!).

It was a simple yet 'happening' party which kicked off around 10pm and ended at 3am. When...somebody needs to drive someone's car to somebuddys' residence while waiting for someone's rescue..till sober arrived..hehe..oppss!

Yes, that's your b'day cake Yuriz hehe..

Great new experience..pheww!!

Finally, for the first time, I've got the chance to witness world class badminton players in action right in front of my own eyes. It's Badminton World Championships 2007 and it's kinda 'badminton fever' here in Kuala Lumpur (at least for those 'badminton freak' like me hehe..).

I must tell you that it was a GREAT experience, especially a first timer like myself. The atmosphere, the feeling, the ambiance, the mood.. total different from watching it on TV. To make it more interesting, i was seated at the 2nd tier seats of the stadium which is just behind all the players & coaches sitting area.. thanks to my brother in law who brought me there haha.

I reached stadium about 2pm, just in time to catch Olympics Champion Taufik Hidayat play India's Anup Sridhar. And I've witnessed one of the biggest upset in badminton history when the 'unknown' Anup defeated Taufik. What a great match it was and i feel sooo lucky to be there hehe..

Watched so many great matches & met so many top world class players and some ex-players as well.. i didn't realize it's already 9pm. That's 7 non-stop hours of world class badminton..fuhh. Time to make a move but before leaving, bought a Yonex badminton shirt for myself as souvenir.

For the record, Malaysia failed to win any of the title at stake in the just concluded World Championship when only woman's single Wong Mei Choo & Men's double Tan Fook/Wan Wah managed to reach the semifinal stage.

And this is what doubles coach Rexy Mainaky have to say.. "The opponent is not the problem, the problem is THEMSELVES".

Saturday Nite Out..

Hari Sabtu lepas aku ngan member² aku pegi majlis kenduri kahwin kat Saujana Impian, Kajang.. rumah cik Dura (yang kahwin tu akak dia). Kalau ikut dalam kad jemputan, masa jamuan makan ialah 12 tengahari-4pm, dan kitorang sampai lebih kurang jam 4.20pm.

Masa kitorang tengah 'qhusyuk' melantak beraneka jenis hidangan, orang pun dah tak ramai dah. Kitorang stop makan & minum bila masuk Maghrib. Takde lah lama sangat pun kitorang 'melantak' hehe.. Terima kasih lah ye cik Dura yang budiman.. kerana bertungkus-lumus menjamu kitorang. Kalau ada kenduri-kendara boleh jemput lagi.. Buli ba kalau kau Dura.. Gere gere lodo hahaha.. *wink wink*

Kitorang berangkat pergi setelah selesai sesi fotografi. Destinasi seterusnya.. Crossroad at Concorde Hotel, KL. Ada sorang member tu bermurah hati nak belanja (anak saper la tu ek..?), so apa lagi.. party time!

Yeay..It's MERDEKA MONTH!! Menjelang 50 tahun Malaysia merdeka.. pada 31 Ogos 2007! Apakah erti Kemerdekaan kepada kita generasi baru setelah 50 tahun bebas dari cengkaman penjajah? Adakah masih ada semangat patriotisme kepada negara? Kalau ada, ada kah semangat itu masih sekuat generasi di era 60an dulu? Saya sendiri masih tertanya-tanya & masih tercari-cari di manakah signifikannya erti kemerdekaan bagi diri saya sendiri.. hmm, so pathetic me hehe.

For a recap: Do i still care about Malaysia being 'independence'? Do i still have the respect for our 'jalur gemilang'? Do i still sing 'Negaraku' passionately? Do i still visit the 'Tugu Kebangsaan'? Do i still 'belilah barangan buatan Malaysia'? Do i still 'support our local music/film industry'? Do i still go 'cuti-cuti Malaysia'? The answer is a DEFINITE "YES"!! (hmm..maybe i'm not that pathetic huh!).

So my friends.. to earmarked the month of Merdeka, let us start the ball rolling by singing OUT LOUD this ever popular song entitled "TANGGAL 31 OGOS" (mesti nyanyi 'passionately' tau..hehehe).
