So so..

Reffering to my previous post on 'Congkak', the most anticipated Malaysian horror movie of the yawn year.. Went to watch it during the weekend.. And my verdict is.. Dissapointing. I can't believe that I almost fell asleep in the middle of the movie..huhuhu.

If you've watched the movie's trailer, that is already equivalent to 90% of the highlights/thrills in the entire show..and even worst if you've watched 'The Making of Congkak' hahaha..no more surprise, no more suspense..Zzzzz...

But just in case you still want to watch it, go ahead... my only advice would be, do not watch the movie's trailer (and 'The Making of..) coz it would be a real spoiler.. :)

I think Metrowealth's Jangan Pandang Belakang is better. The only plus point for Congkak was that, Nanu (the heroin) gave a creditable performance and should stand a chance to win the 'best actress' award in the next Malaysian Film Festival.

Karnival Futsal Borneo 5'S - Momogun 2008

Kepekaan terhadap minat sukan futsal dikalangan belia-belia hari ini telah mendorong Persatuan Momogun Malaysia mengambil inisiatif untuk menganjurkan sukan ini.

Berdasarkan perbincangan terdahulu, komiti program ini telah memutuskan untuk menganjurkan satu Karnival Futsal khusus bagi warga Sabah dan Sarawak yang bermastautin di Semenanjung Malaysia terutamanya di Lembah Klang. Karnival ini dinamakan sebagai ‘Karnival Futsal Borneo 5’S – Momogun 2008’.

Karnival ini akan berlangsung pada 20hb April 2008 bersamaan dengan hari Ahad bertempat di HTO de Futsal, Lot 804, Jalan Subang 5, Kawasan Perindustrian Subang , 47500 Subang Jaya, Selangor Darul Ehsan.

Objektif utama penganjuran ‘Karnival Futsal Borneo 5’S – Momogun 2008’ ini adalah untuk meningkatkan lagi integrasi di antara masyarakat Sabah dan Sarawak. Melalui aktiviti sukan sebegini, ia juga mampu untuk menjalinkan lagi silaturahim dikalangan masyarakat Borneo di Lembah Klang. Selain daripada itu, karnival ini juga diharap dapat mencungkil bakat-bakat baru yang terpendam di kalangan peserta-peserta karnival untuk dibawa ke peringkat yang lebih jauh.

Program ini sejajar dengan harapan kerajaan bagi mempromosikan gaya hidup sihat dan cergas dikalangan masyarakat Malaysia secara amnya. Oleh yang demikian, kami dari penganjur mengalu-alukan penyertaan anda semua. Borang dan syarat penyertaan boleh diperolehi dalam Fail PMM (rujuk pusat sumber).

Our last practice session (April-11)

So what's up on Sunday guys? While most of you might be resting in peace at home or lazing around town, I'll be sweating it out battling in the Borneo 5's Futsal Carnival on this Sunday morning. I’ll be playing for Klang Valley’s Sabahrhinos.com futsal team.

Once again, are we going to win this one? I’ll keep my fingers crossed. There’s not much expectation in our team as we only had like 3 or 4 practice sessions before this tournament. Some more, it will be very unwise for us to put any unnecessary pressure to the team. Let’s just come out and play. Have fun, make friends.

The day has finally come. The day I’ve been waiting for...17th April 2008. It’s the opening day of the much anticipated ‘local’ horror movie by Metrowealth Movies Production..Congkak. Directed and produced by Ahmad Idham and David Teo respectively, I will definitely go and watch this one.

If you’ve watched ‘Jangan Pandang Belakang’ (JPB) which I did, you should know what these guys (Ahmad Idham & David Teo) are capable of. Yes, they are the same guy who directed & produced JPB whose unexpected success last year has raked-in a record-breaking total collection of RM7.5 million! I know some of you ‘Malaysian’ might laugh at Malaysian movies, but at least with this one (JPB) I was ‘indirectly’ part of the record breaking history hahaha (laugh back.. ).

Labelled as Malaysia’s scariest horror blockbuster movie of 2008, Congkak has been targeted to reach RM10 million in total box-office collection..fuyoo! And if that is so, I will once again be part of the record-breaking feat, hahaha.. (brapa banyak rekod daa..hehe). Oh ya, tomorrow itself will be a new record for Malaysian film industry as Congkak will be screened simultaneously in 70 cinemas nationwide!

So guys, if you do loves horror movie (like I do)..lets come out & play...CONGKAK!

Synopsis:
Kazman is a dedicated husband who, despite his wife Sufiah's protests, decided to buy a bungalow for their family near a lake as a family getaway. Anxious in the new house, Sufiah feels as if someone is watching her. Her daughter Lisa, who would always go downstairs at night to play congkak with someone whom she could only see, compounds her uneasiness. Sufiah throws the congkak in the lake, but is awakened the next night by the sound of the congkak being played again and upon investigation, she sees an old lady playing it. When her daughter disappears, the oldest resident in that area, Pak Tua, comes to the family's rescue and helps in locating the missing family members.

UEFA Champion's League Quarter Final 2nd Leg: Man Utd(1) vs AS Roma(0)

Slept early last night and woke up at 3am to catch Man Utd vs Roma live on ESPN (yes i am crazy.. i am the Red Devil hahaha). It was the 2nd leg of the UEFA Champion's League Quarter Final. A one nil win, courtesy of Carlos Tevez’s superb goal (from a superb cross by Owen Hargreaves) in the 70th minute completed a 3-0 aggregate win.

Having won 2-0 in the 1st leg, Man Utd can afford to rest star players such as Christiano Ronaldo, Rooney & Paul Scholes. But still there were more than enough fire power in the likes of Tevez, Owen Hargreaves, Giggs and Anderson to see off Roma’s challenge. I was kept awake for the whole 90 minutes as high class football was put on show. With a very fast attacking game with great passes and skills, there’s no regret at all waking up so early in the morning. Satisfaction..

With the win Man Utd marched on to the Semi Final (for the 2nd year running), and the team awaiting them is none other than Barcelona. Yeah, it’ll be Ronaldo vs Ronaldinho or better still, Wayne Rooney vs Thiery Henry. Fuyoo..how’s that for a match guys? Clash of a Titan!! Can’t wait.. Woohooo..!!

But wait..before that, there’s a big game coming up this weekend.. an all important league game against The Gunners. Man Utd is looking forward to strengthen their grip at the top of the league, but expect Arsenal to go all out to revive their vanishing chance of winning the league title.

Whatever the outcome will be, may the best team win. And the best team is Man Utd muahahahaha... Glory Glory Man Utd!!

Bowling Sunday

The ‘Kejohanan Bowling Piala Tan Sri Bernard Dompok 2008’ was successfully held in Bukit Jalil Golf & Country resort last Sunday. We (the BBKK team) were there too.. to play, to have fun and to meet old & new friends.

The event was supposed to be officiated by Yang DiPertua MSM, Tan Sri Datuk Bernard Dompok, unfortunately he can’t make it, he got to be back to Sabah since Pak Lah is coming to town. So it was our very own Gundohing Justin Kinsik, the Naib Yang DiPertua officiating it..by rolling the ball through the lane, 3 times.

All together there were 11 teams of 6 bowlers each competing comprising of working adults as well as students from various colleges and universities. The ambience was so happening it feels so Sabah. Kadus songs is on the air, you feel macam di KK pula haha.. The excitement boosted when they announced the arrival of Puan Sri Diana Dompok halfway through the game, who came all the way from KK (on behalf of Tan Sri Bernard) to gave support and to meet everybody attended.

Game finished around 6.30pm and after photo session, everybody proceeded to the ballroom for the buffet dinner and prize giving ceremony. Eat all you can, drink all you can... While dining we were treated with performances from Mawi, Faizal Tahir & Stacy of AF6. No I’m kidding hehe.. Function ended around 8.30pm and everybody started making a move. Everybody seems to have fun and that’s what matter most. Tiada pengalah semua pemenang..Owyeah!! Jumpa lagi di tahun depan.

So how did we fare in the tournament? Hmm..not bad I shall say. Without any practice and not a single ‘star’ player in the team, we managed a respectable 3rd placing overall haha..not bad huh? Not bad at all for beginners like us. The best part of it was, not only we surprised everybody by grabbing the 2nd runner-up medals, but we surprised ourselves too hahaha... Memang BBKK betul la.. Buli Bah Kalau Kami..hehe. (Check out in your local dailies for detail result of the competition)

Kejohanan Bowling Piala Tan Sri Bernard Dompok 2008

Salam sejahtera kepada seluruh warga Momogun.

Pada tahun ini, Persatuan Momogun Malaysia akan menganjurkan "Kejohanan Bowling Piala Tan Sri Bernard Dompok 2008"

Acara yang julung kali akan diadakan ini telah dijadualkan pada 6 April 2008 (Ahad) bertempat di Berjaya Golf Resort Berhad, Bukit Jalil. Pertandingan bowling ini akan berlangsung pada pukul 1pm.

Matlamat utama penganjuran acara sukan ini adalah untuk mengeratkan lagi silaturahim di antara masyarakat Sabah yang kini bermastautin di Semenjung Malaysia. Sehubungan dengan itu, sebagai badan bukan kerajaan, acara ini juga dianjurkan bagi menambah tabung persatuan sekaligus mempromosikan Persatuan Momogun Malaysia kepada seluruh warga Malaysia.

Pertandingan ini terbuka kepada semua ahli Momogun serta warga Sabah yang kini bermastautin di Semenanjung Malaysia. Kami mengalu-alukan penglibatan serta sokongan padu daripada anda semua agar Kejohanan Bowling Piala Tan Sri Bernard Dompok 2008 ini dapat dijayakan.

Now that's a 'turkey'.. Oppss.. :D

This coming Sunday, 6th April 2008, me and friends(The BBKK Team) will be participating in the "Kejohanan Bowling Piala Tan Sri Bernard Dompok 2008" organised by MSM (Momogun Society of Malaysia). Are we going to win? Definitely not.. Maybe yes, maybe no.. But one thing for sure, we are definitely going to have fun. Winning isn't everything anyway..the spirit is what matter most.

So for those residing in Klang Valley, and you have nothing interesting to do on Sunday afternoon, you might want to join us in Bukit Jalil Golf Resort.
