So the ‘jinx’ has been broken.. After Linda Nanuwil(AF2), Felix(AF3) & Lotter(AF4) came close by winning 2nd place, the long awaited dream to see a Sabahan being crowned ‘Juara Akademi Fantasia’ is finally over. Congratulation Stacy!! Congratulation to all voters!! Give yourself a pat on the back for a job well done! Congratulations!! Congratulations!! Congratulations!! Alamakk..terlebih sudah!
After enduring 10 gruelling weeks with lots of tasks and assignments, Stacy came out top, winning the 6th edition of AF in style. Winning in style indeed when she managed to gets 43% of the overall votes in the final leaving Riz a far cry second with only 19% votes. A record breaking feat not even Mawi (AF3) can match. To Simon Cowell.. this is what you called a ‘KNOCKED OUT’.. hehe.
We were there last night at the stadium to witnessed and be part of the history. Stacy’s triumph was nevertheless expected and never in doubt since day one she’s in the academy. The roar and support given by the audience in the stadium was clear evidence of it. Even though Riz FC tried hard to match it but..to no avail hehe.. ape kehe nyer yeop? The atmosphere in the arena last night was simply electrifying and awesome..i got goose bump.
I’m not going to write about the concert in details i believe most of you have watched it. Personally i really like the new songs by Riz(Hanya Sandiwara), Nubhan(Ada Untukmu) and of coz Stacy (Aku Stacy). Credit goes to all (new) composers. I bet these three songs will be a chart topper very soon. I think the opening act of Adam featuring Evoke was great as well as the introduction of ‘para pengkritik’ where they each get to sing a song.. Adlin was kewl, Ning was awesome and Ogy was..ermm.. ‘sudah kahwin kah belum’..entertaining hehe.. I lyke.
Overall, i think last night was one of the best local concert i’ve been to. The crowd, the music, the songs selection, the stage..all were great. Well done Astro..
Later after concert, we managed to catch up with Stacy to personally congratulate her. She was the centre of attention, she was the Star of the Night..an yet she is still as humble & playful as i first met her last year.. This is just the beginning.. All the best to you girl!!
